Leeds & York Partnership Foundation Trust 2025

Building on our work with LYPFT since 2022, the trust saw the immense value of upskilling staff with human rights knowledge and tools to inform their work. Based on the success of our previous workshops and practice leads sessions, LYPFT commissioned us once again to deliver a new two-part human rights staff capacity building workshop series.

The programme is for staff who had not previously attended our human rights workshops, so LYPFT could further expand the knowledge and use of human rights across the service. The hope is that this will further improve outcomes for people who access LYPFT services by developing the ability of more staff to integrate human rights into their everyday practice.  

We are also currently co-developing a practical human rights resource that LYPFT staff can use as a tool to make decisions that are informed by human rights and the Human Rights Act 1998. The resource will have information about their legal human rights duties, key human rights relevant to their work, and practical frameworks to support the use of human rights in their work.
