This booklet is about human rights in mental health rehabilitation settings. It is aimed at professionals working in those settings. We use the term 'practitioner' throughout to include anyone working in mental health rehabilitation (e.g. qualified and unqualified workers). Lots of information in the booklet may also be useful for people using rehabilitation services, their family, carers and advocates.
Key issues covered:
Consent to rehabilitation during the transition from hospital, including a decision-making flowchart
Neglect of self-care in an inpatient rehabilitation unit
Respecting people's possessions in rehabilitation settings
This booklet is also available as part of our Practitioner Toolkit.
