Mental Health, Accommodation, Support and Human Rights: A practitioner's guide

The booklet is free but postage cost will be added at Checkout

This booklet is about human rights in accommodation based support settings for people with mental health issues. It is aimed at support workers, mental health practitioners and anybody else working in residential settings where mental capacity or mental health is a factor. We use the term 'practitioner' throughout to include anyone working in these settings (e.g. qualified and unqualified workers). Lots of information in the booklet may also be useful for people using services, their family, carers or advocates.

Key issues covered:

'Unwise' lifestyle decisions in community residential settings, including a decision making flowchart

Responding to physical and/or verbal aggression in community residential settings

Accessing physical and mental healthcare

This booklet is also available as part of our Practitioner Toolkit.
