Flick through the Special Anniversary Edition of our newspaper, Human Writes, packed full of human rights news and information.

This issue boasts interviews with human rights celebrities, including Sir Nicolas Bratza, former President of the European Court of Human Rights and current chair of BIHR, and Mark Neary, human rights campaigner and father to Steven Neary, who was unlawfully deprived of his liberty for nearly a year by his local authority.

We also tell some seminal stories of a number of individuals who have been able to use the Human Rights Act for positive social change.

This Special Anniversary Edition of Human Writes was launched on International Human Rights Day in 2015 – a day to mark and celebrate the achievements of modern human rights since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted on 10 December 1948.
