You don't have to answer the Consultation questions to have your say on the Government's planned Human Rights Act reform.

Instead, you can send a response by email to [email protected]

We've created a template letter in the form of a Word document that you can customise and attach to your email. Make sure to delete or change any highlighted areas to make sure your response reflects your own situation. You can also edit or add in any other information that you want.

We'd like to thank our friends at the Human Rights Consortium's Scotland, the Human Rights Consortium Northern Ireland and WCVA for their support to create this template letter ensuring devolved concerns, which are central to human rights act reforms are set out explicitly in our letter.

If you are short on time, we have created a form which you can fill in and have the completed template letter emailed to you. Please note, the letter still needs to be emailed to [email protected]

Make sure you submit your own response to the Consultation as well as any joint responses as part of organisations, groups or networks. In the words of Mhairi Snowden of Human Rights Consortium Scotland, "we need lots of responses and we need loud responses."
