Thursday 22nd September 10am-4pm

Do you work on mental health and/or mental capacity issues?
Would you like to learn about how you could use human rights in your work?

This free learning event is open to anyone working on mental health and/or mental capacity issues. It will focus on how you can use human rights in your work to design and deliver rights-respecting services, or use human rights to negotiate with services for better outcomes for patients. Whether you work in service design or delivery, for an advocacy or support group, as a regulator, Commissioner or for a national organisation, come along and discuss how a human rights approach could help improve services in your local area.
The event will cover:
  • an introduction to human rights and the Human Rights Act
  • key rights for mental health/capacity
  • using human rights in your work
  • a local action plan on improving mental health/capacity services

Whether you're already familiar with human rights, or a complete beginner, come along and join the discussions. We look forward to seeing you there.
