We make human rights change lives by making human rights relevant.

Human rights are relevant to everyone, in many areas of our day-to-day life, be it health, care, education, housing, or many other areas. At BIHR we take human rights laws and support people to understand how they are relevant.

Over the last year we've reached 16,768 people, making human rights relevant to issues such as:

  • dementia,
  • learning disability,
  • nursing,
  • end of life care,
  • policing, schools,
  • mental health,
  • young people,
  • women experiencing violence and discrimination,
  • people living in care homes,
  • GPs,
  • safeguarding boards,
  • and many more!

Our community outreach is really important in making this happen. This Christmas we're raising funds for our community outreach in March 2018, and we need your help to reach the £4000 target. Every pound donated to BIHR before 5 December will be matched by The Big Give. That means you give once, but make double the impact! Please help us make human rights change lives.

BIHR took part in the Christmas Challenge 2017, where our amazing supporters raised a massive £3,271.75 through online donations and matched funds. Although donations are no longer being matched, you can still donate today to support our March for Human Rights campaign.

Please click here to donate.

Your support means BIHR will be able to visit towns and cities across the UK and make sure more people know their rights and how to prevent being treated poorly in health, care, education and in lots of other everyday situations.

Thank you
