As an independent human rights charity, the British Institute of Human Rights relies on the support of people who want to ensure human rights here at home are respected, protected and fulfilled.

BIHR’s Friends are vital in helping us achieve our mission to bring human rights to life across the UK, providing us with regular independent sources of funding.

You can become…

A BIHR individual friend: by donating £5 (or more) a month (£60 a year). If you are on a low income you can support us from £2 a month (or £24 a year).

A BIHR charity or VCS friend: by donating £10 (or more) a month (£120 a year). Groups with an income of less than £100,000 can be a BIHR Friend by donating £4 a month (or £48 a year).

A BIHR legal friend (individual lawyers): by donating £10 (or more) a month (£120 a year).

A BIHR firm friend (law & corporate): by donating £30 (or more) a month (£360 a year).

Supporting BIHR really makes a difference:

Giving £5 a month supports the costs of providing 100 family carers, older people, disabled people, and people with mental health problems with a copy of our practical Human Rights Guides, helping them to make sure that services are treating them fairly and with the dignity and respect that we should all receive.
