BIHR is a small, independent charity and we depend on the support of others to help us achieve our goals. If you care about human rights then please support us in any way you can, big or small.
There are many ways you can support BIHR, financial and otherwise.
As an independent human rights charity, BIHR relies on the support of people who care about human rights to help cover our core operational costs. Find out how you can support our '£40,000 for our 40th' Anniversary Appeal.

From as little as £25 per year you can become a Friend of BIHR and receive human rights updates and invitations to events.

Please consider affiliating your organisation to BIHR. We are always interested to hear from other organisations with an interest in human rights, whatever your area of expertise.

Our work is supported by many generous sponsors, including Irwin Mitchell, 1 Crown Office Row, Clifford Chance, Bindmans and 18 Red Lion Court. Opportunities are available to support our events, publications, one-off projects and many other aspects of our work. To discuss sponsorship opportunities please contact Amy Barrick, abarrick@bihr.org.uk.
If you are interested in leaving a legacy to BIHR, please contact Amy Barrick, abarrick@bihr.org.uk.
We are lucky to have a team of dedicated volunteers and interns who help us with our work. Some come into our offices every week, others help out with one-off tasks or projects. Click here for more information about volunteering at BIHR.
Next time human rights ‘hits the headlines’ please write a letter to your local or regional newspapers or to the national press, post your comments on a website (like www.dailymail.co.uk) or telephone a radio phone-in. Most media reporting of human rights fails to tell the whole story, painting a negative picture. You could tell the other side of the story, with positive examples of how human rights have benefited many ordinary people and your own thoughts about how human rights are relevant in daily life. See our information and resources pages for BIHR briefings defending human rights.
The Human Rights Act is under threat. Local constituents can have a very strong influence on their MP. Write to or visit your MP and ask them what they will do to safeguard the future of the Human Rights Act. Find out more.
Tell your family, friends and colleagues about BIHR and our work. Send them a link to our website, show them our publications, tell them about our events or ask them to sign up to our regular e-news here.
If you have any other ideas about how you can support BIHR, please contact us on 020 7549 0550 or info@bihr.org.uk.
Thank you.
