We are seeking 40 new donors to give to BIHR through regular standing orders to help safeguard BIHR’s capacity to maintain and build on the success of our projects for another 40 years.
As an independent human rights charity, BIHR relies on the support of people who care about
Because BIHR develops the ability of others to understand, respect and defend human rights, rather than addressing abuses after the fact, your monthly gift represents an investment into a stronger, fairer society.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick and sign the optional Gift Aid box on the donations form. This is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity and it will not cost you anything more than your initial donation. Gift Aid simply lets us claim back from the Inland Revenue the tax on your gift if you pay UK income tax.
£4 per month could pay postage to send hard copies of our human rights guides to older people, disabled people, people living with mental health problems and refugees and asylum seekers without regular access to the internet
£40 per month could pay for BIHR’s line rental and internet access, allowing us to stay in touch with our core beneficiaries and supporters
£400 per month could cover the travel and lunch expenses of 3 of our interns, increasing our capacity by 30% and providing vital work experience to the next generation of human rights professionals
£4000 per month could cover the salaries of our core roles, supporting BIHR’s work by providing operational, research and administrative services to the organisation
£40,000 per month could pay for BIHR’s operating costs, enabling the team to continue to develop and deliver effective projects to bring human rights to life
