If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick and sign the optional Gift Aid box on the donations form. This is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity and it will not cost you anything more than your initial donation. Gift Aid simply lets us claim back from the Inland Revenue the tax on your gift if you pay UK income tax.
£1 for each of our 40 years (£40) is the weekly travel and lunch expenses of 3 interns, increasing our capacity by around 15% and providing vital work experience for the next generation of human rights supporters
£5 for each of our 40 years (£200) is the cost of BIHR’s own video camera which could improve online access to our training and resources for under-resourced organisations working with marginalised groups
£10 for each of our 40 years (£400) is the cost of a sign language interpreter to make human rights training accessible for deaf groups, or to create a Braille version of our Human Rights Guide
£20 for each of our 40 years (£800) is the cost of delivering free training for individuals and their advocates in one of the regions hardest hit by spending cuts
£50 for each of our 40 years (£2000) is the sum we need to do a print re-run of one of our celebrated Human Rights Guides, said by one user to be “most helpful and needed”
£100 for each of our 40 years (£4000) would allow us to produce and promote a resource to engage proactively with media myths about human rights
£500 for each of our 40 years (£20,000) would enable BIHR’s Policy and Public Affairs staff to carry out vital influencing work to protect and embed the Human Rights Act over the next year
