BIHR is concerned about changes to family and private life rights in the Immigration Rules which became law on 9 July 2012. We have been involved in this work because we think the Immigration Rules are the latest example of political attacks on human rights in the UK. This is not just an issue that should concern those interested in or with expereience of immigration - we should all be worried about these changes.

It is vital that we all stand together to challenge the negative climate surrounding human rights law and policy; it is vital that we #Act now! That is why BIHR took to the streets in demo last nights - see the pictures below! - and why we spoke up at the subsequent parliamentary meeting last night. Follow our Twitter feed for a taster of what was said in the Grand Committee Room (@BIHRhumanrights).
Watch this space for more information on our soon-to-be-launched campaign on how you can #Act now and speak up for human rights!
