This year, the Convention on Modern Liberty will gather in London and six venues across the UK, from Belfast to Cambridge, on 28 February.
The British Institute of Human Rights is calling for a cross-party commitment to maintain existing vital protections guaranteed by the Human Rights Act and the strengthening of a culture of respect for human rights for all people in the UK.
A report, marking ten years of the UK Human Rights Act and 60 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, published today by the British Institute of Human Rights demonstrates that the Human Rights Act is protecting vulnerable people from abuse and poor treatment in public services.
