We strive to bring a fresh perspective to debates about human rights, emphasising their importance as a tool for achieving a fairer, more equal society. We comment on a wide range of issues including human rights law and policy in the UK and inequality and social exclusion. We are the leading human rights organisation working to demonstrate the importance of human rights for improving public services in areas including education, and health and social care. Our practical experiences of working with voluntary and community and public organisations 'on the ground' gives us a unique understanding of how human rights are being used in practice.
