New downloadable resource: Human rights in your community

We have produced a free, downloadable guide called 'Human Rights in your Community'. This guide has been inspired and informed by BIHR’s current human rights in the community project; a 3 year project funded by the Equality and Human rights Commission. It contains some useful information about what human rights are, how they work and what they mean in practice for community groups in the UK. It also contains useful information about some specific rights with some examples to bring those rights to life. The guide ends with some useful tips for community groups to harness the power of human rights to improve the experiences of people in their communities as well as a list of useful resources. We hope you find it useful!

Notebook

The notebook section provides a way for you to store and share information with your group members. With the book feature you can:

  • Add book pages and organize them hierarchically into different books.
  • Attach files to pages to share them with others.
  • Track changes that others have made and revert changes as necessary.
  • Archive books that are no longer of interest to the group. Archived books can be reactivated later if needed.
