Human Rights and Equalities

This one day training course is designed to raise awareness of human rights ideas, principles and standards, and how they relate to equality. It will focus on how human rights provide a practical tool for tackling inequality and disadvantage.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the core principles, standards and features of human rights and how rights 'work'

  • Explain the key purpose and features of human rights legislation relevant to the UK, in particular the Human Rights Act

  • Understand how human rights relate to equality and diversity

  • Public sector: £200
  • Third sector organisations, annual income over £1 Million: £150
  • Third sector organisations, annual income under £1 Million: £100
