The BIHR Annual reception is an opportunity for BIHR's supporters and partners, to meet and network with other supporters and advocates of human rights, and learn more about BIHR’s current work.

The BIHR Annual Reception 2008 was kindly sponsored by Clifford Chance and took place on the 30th floor of their stunning Canary Wharf offices.
The event marked both the 10th Anniversary of the Human Rights Act and the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
BIHR patron, Cherie Booth QC, was the guest speaker, and we also heard from some of the young people BIHR has been working with in schools about the importance of human rights.
The 2006 reception took place on 23 November at the stunning offices of Clifford Chance in Canary Wharf, and was kindly sponsored by Clifford Chance and Matrix.
At the reception we shared BIHR’s fresh strategy and vision for human rights in the UK, and launched our new promotional materials.
Read our director Katie’s speech from the event.
We also welcomed one of our new patrons, Cherie Booth QC, as our guest speaker for the evening. Our other new patrons, Jon Snow and The Rt Hon. The Baroness Hale of Richmond, were announced on the night.
